It was Saturday morning, and Anna woke up to the sound of heavy rain hitting her window. She looked outside and saw dark clouds covering the sky. Normally, Anna went to the park on Saturdays to read or walk, but because of the rain, she decided to stay home.
She made a cup of hot chocolate and sat on the sofa with a blanket. The warm drink made her feel cozy. After a while, she felt like going for a short walk. She put on her coat, took her umbrella, and went outside. The streets were wet and full of puddles.
When she reached the city center, she heard someone call her name. It was Mark, her old friend from university. They hadn’t seen each other for almost a year. He looked the same, only slightly different with longer hair.
They stood under a small shelter to stay dry. Mark said they had met by accident and suggested visiting the new museum. “It’s just around the corner,” he said. Anna agreed.
Inside the museum, they saw old paintings, beautiful sculptures, and a history room. They walked slowly, laughed, and talked. Anna noticed Mark looked more confident and thoughtful than before.
After two hours, they went to a bakery. The smell of bread and cinnamon was wonderful. Anna ate a sandwich, and Mark chose a sweet pastry. They talked for a long time.
When they walked outside, the rain had stopped. Mark said he was happy they met, and Anna agreed. They planned to meet again soon.
On her way home, Anna thought about the day. She didn’t expect anything special, but it turned into a beautiful memory.
